Order Status

For each order, there is a Status drop down menu where you can change the status of an order. 

In the Castiron platform, when an order is paid for it is considered Open. This is automatic. 

If an order has a paid deposit, but the balance hasnt been paid yet, it is considered Partially Paid. This is automatic. 

Food artisans will mark orders as Complete once the product being sold is finished being created. This is optional and for your records only if you want to use this status category. 

An order is marked as Fulfilled when it has been delivered, shipped, or picked up by the customer. You must manually change the status and hit Save. When you do, you can send the customer a notification for this when means sending them a personalized note (which could include where you delivered it, thanking the person, etc.), sharing the tracking number if shipping. To send them email confirmation, check the box to notify and hit Submit. This is a good way to cover your bases and have "written" confirmation that it was picked up, shipped, delivered. 

Uncheck the box regarding notifying the customer in the popup that comes when you change to Fulfilled if you do not want to send it to them.
