If you have decided that you no longer want to use Castiron for your business, you can cancel your subscription from your shop's admin page at https://admin.castiron.me
- Once logged in to your shop, go to the Settings tab, then My Subscriptions.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the subscription page and click "Cancel My Subscription".
- That's it!
Your shop will remain active until the end of your paid subscription period (this date is indicated on the My Subscription page in Settings once you Cancel), during which you can access the data in your shop, including customer contacts and order information. If you do not want customers to be able to place new orders during that time, go to Pages and set all pages to "Inactive".
After your subscription period is over, your shop will become inactive and you will be locked out of your account until you restart your subscription. If at any point in the future you want to restart, simply log in at https://admin.castiron.me and click on the Resubscribe button and all of your previous data and shop set up will still be available to you. If you have difficulty logging in, click the Forgot Password link to reset it.
Webpage URL
Once your subscription is cancelled and expired, anyone visiting the page will see an Error message. The link for the page may still appear in Google searches. This is a process Castiron has no control over. Google regularly "crawls" webpages and archives error pages so they will no longer appear in a search once the Google crawler finds the page. This can take days to months. You can attempt to request the archive happen more quickly from Google, but it is out of our hands to do.
Your Business Reports
Prior to cancelling your subscription, we highly recommend downloading all data and reports you want to have, including
1. Orders: Export your order history
2. Analytics: Download your tax report
3. Products: Within each product you can download a report under Insights that shows how many of each product was ordered and the revenue generated from it
4. Contacts: Export contacts list for your customer contact data
5. Stripe: From admin Settings>Payments>Payouts, click on View Payout details which will direct you to your connected Stripe account. From the Balance tab you can "Export" your transaction history. See Manage Your Stripe Express Account
*You should continue to have access to Stripe following the end of your Castiron subscription, but we recommend exporting all reports prior to cancelling for the smoothest transition.
If you intended to cancel and were charged for the next month, cancel your subscription as outlined above. Send an email to support from your shop email address within 24 hours of the charge to be considered for a refund for the new charge. Refunds are not guaranteed, but the sooner you reach out with your request and the necessary information (which shop, the reason for cancelling) the more likely it will be considered.
