A Quick Response code, or QR code, is a code consisting of an array of black and white squares, typically used for storing URLs or other information, read by the camera on a smartphone. Many sellers use a QR code for their shop's webpage on their printed marketing materials such as flyers and business cards.
It's not necessary to have a QR code on your website. It's for directing customers to your website.
There is not a way to create QR codes within Castiron, but you can create a QR code that links to your Castiron shop.
Example of a QR code for http://admin.castiron.me
To create a QR code, you'll first need your shop's URL or webpage. This could be your custom domain. If you do not have a custom domain, to find your exact link from your shop's admin. At the bottom left of your shop admin page, click on your name. A box will popup and you'll click on Share My Shop and you'll get two links--one for your shop and one to sign up for your marketing. Click on the link you want the QR code to direct to.
Once you have your shop's URL, you can use a QR code generator website to create yours. There are many free sites on the internet that will allow you to create one such as Canva, QRCodeMonkey, and Adobe.
Follow the instructions on the site to enter your shop's URL that you copied and create the QR code, which you can download, save as an image, add to other graphics, and print out. As long as you are using the same shop webpage you'll never need to change it! You're now ready to use your QR code in your marketing materials.
