Keeping your allergen and dietary information accurate is essential to providing clear and transparent details for your customers. If you need to update or remove allergen information from your Castiron shop, follow the steps below.
How to Update Business Allergen Information
It's important for customers to know which ingredients you may be using in your business for safety.
Allergen Information
Let your customers know if your products were made on equipment that also produce products that contain any of the following ingredients:

Log into Your Castiron Account

Go to Castiron Admin and log into your account.

Navigate to Business Details
-
From the left-hand navigation panel, click on Settings.

Select Business Details from the settings menu.

Update Your Allergen Information
-
Locate the Allergen Information section to the right of the page, under social links.
-
Update the allergens that apply to your business, or remove any incorrect information.

Ensure that the details reflect your actual food preparation environment.

Save Your Changes
-
After updating, click the Save button to apply the new information.

How to Update Product Allergen Information
You can indicate the allergen contents of individual products in addition to or rather than you business description. Within each product you can indicate the following information:
Allergens
Let your customers know if your product contains any of the following major food allergens:
Dietary Information
Let your customers know if your product is compatible with any of the following diets:

Log into Your Castiron Account

Go to Castiron Admin and log into your account.

Navigate to Products Tab
- Click on a product

Update Your Allergen Information

Locate the Allergen & Dietary Info section towards the bottom the page.
- Click on the arrow to expand the section.

Check or uncheck the boxes as they apply to that product.

Save Your Changes

After updating, click the Save button to apply the new information.

What Happens Next?

Your shop page will immediately reflect the updated allergen information.

Customers will now see the correct details when browsing your products.

If you have any issues, try refreshing your page or clearing your browser cache or using a new/incognito browser to see the changes.
