Sometimes artisans wonder if Castiron or their shop is broken.
If there is a known Castiron outage we'll inform you via our Facebook group The Kitchen and via email.
Here are some things to check before reaching out to support.
- Go to www.shopcastiron.com to verify Castiron is working correctly by clicking on the link of another artisan's shop. If it directs you to a shop as expected, the issue is most likely something going on with your shop, not the Castiron platform.
- Custom Domains: Did you recently connect your Castiron shop to a custom domain? If done incorrectly (which is easy to do!) it can lead to a URL error. Check out Using Your Custom Domain on Castiron for step-by-step guidance.
- Stripe: Check to verify that your subscription is active and your account is properly connected. Check out What is Stripe? and Manage Your Stripe Express Account and View Payouts
- Pages: Make sure all of the pages (including the Home page) from the Pages tab are set to Active. Did you make them inactive for a break or vacation? How to Put Your Shop in Vacation Mode will also show you how to reactivate pages.

If you have reviewed these options and still cannot resolve the issue, email support at help@castiron.me with your shop email and as many details as you can, including screenshots if applicable and we'll troubleshoot with you to get you up and running.
